Scuf Gaming Controllers!

Scuf Controllers are a gaming essential in competitive Call of Duty. This controller allows a player to simultaneously press many buttons without having to lose focus on aim. Scuf Gaming have implemented many unique features that set them apart from other aftermarket control companies.

Trigger Stops
Trigger stops were implemented to remove any unnecessary trigger movement. This will allow a player to shoot a single fire weapon more rapidly. But all in all a very unique feature that shines when used by players.

Adjustable Hair Triggers
This feature allows the user to manually tune the triggers to a certain stopping point, which will result in tapping the trigger, rather than having to press down on the trigger like you normally would on a stock controller.

 Control Paddles
Control paddles are what Scuf is mainly known for. These paddles are made to replace any other buttons on the controller. So, instead of having having to press "A" with your thumbs, you can simply press the paddle on the back with your middle finger without having to move your thumbs from the analog stick. It does take some time to get used to, but this feature is definitely going to make you a better player. Their is an option to place four paddles on the back rather than two, but it all has to do with player preference. Many people that have used this controller, have grown to not be able to play without it. Having to drop, and jump shot have become more easier. This type of modification is allowed by MLG.

OpTic Team House

Optic Gaming have announced that on June 15, 2013, the Optic competitive team will be moving in together. The location is in Chicago, Illinois, and they are not releasing any specific address for privacy. "A huge business opportunity" has been said by the team members, but a gaming career dream as well. But, the main question everyone has is, what exactly is the team house needed for? Members of Optic have said it will help them with practice, scriming, and preparing for MLG events. Since every member uploads videos to YouTube, and is a frequent live streamer, their internet connection is a great concern. But they feel pretty confident towards having everything ready for their move to Chicago.

Most importantly, what do other pro teams think of this? Should they be more cautious of this new setup that OpTic gaming have acquired? Since optic has been known for not being the strongest online team, this will probably make them the best online team. Who knows, but the major upgrade will make a huge difference. Most teams feel this change wont make much of a difference, and some are more aware of any matches they will be playing against them. It's a world of mix feelings at the moment. But this is what competitive gaming is all about. Constant changes and stronger teams getting better. It also has been speculated that since they are now in a "team house" it will be much more difficult to change rosters. We all know that Optic gaming have a great chemistry, and work well together. So their is a possibility that the current roster might be like that for some time. Allowing a team to have more time spent together makes them much more better, and this could possibly be the advantage that puts them over the top.

Thoughts On FAL / Kap 40 Ban

Since day one of Black Ops 2 we automatically knew about the over and under powered guns. Many complaints from Pro players, as well as casual players that found an unbalance of fairness between guns. As we all know, at the beginning the PDW was the a very powerful sub machine gun. Since the stats at the Treyarch headquarters indicated that it indeed was over powered, an immediate nerf was put out on the gun. An extraordinary change was noticed at first use after the update. Pro players looked for an alternative to the PDW which was the MSMC. This gun also received a major nerf that made it tough to use. At this point we all started to notice a transition from many SMG players to AR's. Especially since the new game type of hard point called for an anchor role in each team. While teams experimented with different assault rifles, the FAL was the go to gun for anchor role players. A semi-auto that was capable of shooting faster than an MSMC was absolutely ridiculously. In competitive, the controversy of an assault rifle being dominant in a close quarters gun fight arose. At MLG Dallas, we all remember Clayster using the FAL to destroy OpTic Gaming in Hard point Raid. Ever since, many aspiring pro players undertook the class setup, and acquiring the FAL. Competitive players', League Play players', and the COD community in general debated whether it should be banned from MLG and GB's.

People decided to take the matter on their hands and ask for the ban of the FAL and the Kap 40. The Kap 40 is basically defined as a mini sub machine gun that was better than any SMG at really close ranges. It was an obvious decision by MLG to ban this weapon. But, last minute changes by MLG to ban the FAL about a month prior to the next MLG event in Anaheim,CA. With these guns being the highly requested guns to be banned from competitive, means experimentation with other guns begins. In competitive, you have to be absolutely comfortable with the different class setups, and guns. In my personal experience, the FAL had to banned, as well as the Kap 40. I've seen pros' using B23R's and Tac 45's in substitution for the Kap 40, which obviously don't match up with it. Many of the guns that are now being used are very inconsistent. This puts many players at a disadvantage in a gun fight. But, I'm pretty sure they can mange with this transition. I mean they are called "Pros" for a reason.

MLG Anaheim

MLG will return to Anaheim, CA on June 28-30 in the Anaheim Convention Center. This will be a redemption event for many of the teams attending. As for Fariko Impact, they are looking for their next win. Fariko Impact are giving all of the other teams a run for their money. Being crowned 2013 COD champs certainly gives a huge confidence boost. But as for their rival competitors, OpTic Gaming, and Envyus, their presence is still known. Envyus, finishing second at COD champs, are definitely looking for redemption in Anaheim. But lets not forget about OpTic Gaming. The fans favorite, as one might say, are incredible competitors, and will be looking for their second event win of 2013. As for the other teams, here are many "underdog" teams that are looking forward to this event as a chance to put themselves on the map. If some of these teams manage to defeat some of the bigger teams, a great reputation will be created for them.

We all are looking forward to this event. The players never fail to surprise with unpredictable play styles, and  versatile strategies. All of these teams are hungry for victory. A victory that will grant the winning team bragging rights, and in the call of duty community, bragging rights is huge. The cash prize is also to not be forgotten. A prize of money and bragging rights is what makes a major league gamer. Don't forget to tune in on June 28th and watch the best Call Of Duty players in the world battle it out in Anaheim.
